This is not actually a picture of where we're going.
I bet you thought just because I hadn’t updated this blog in three years that it was dead. WRONG. I was just waiting for another road trip to revive it. Specifically, another road trip with Jenn (AKA Ms. Lt. Dr. Goldberg). Jenn is actually already out there on the great highways and byways of our nation, driving from Santa Cruz to Portland, OR. And I will be meeting her in PDX tomorrow evening to start our new adventure. As always, the occasion for this road trip is that Jenn is moving. This time, from San Diego to Alaska. In case you’ve forgotten about our last two epic road trips, the first was in 2000, when Jenn moved to Boston from Santa Cruz. Julie was on that trip, too, and we kept track of it in a “log,” also known as “a blog that’s written on paper.” Then, in 2007, Jenn moved from Boston to San Diego, and we started this here blog thingy, and I met my true love: Cracker Barrel.
This trip will most likely not involve Cracker Barrel, but it will involve Voodoo Doughnuts and other culinary highlights. As always, I will be in charge of words, and Jenn will be in charge of photos. See you on the road!
